Abstract

In the town of Santo Domingo, Department Las Colonias, Province of Santa Fe, –a region characterized by its varied productive activity linked to the agricultural sector, but mainly with milk production, as the basis of the regional economy– it is placed the E.E.S.O.P.I. No 2047 “Los Colonizadores”.

Founded in 1982, it arises from the need to train new generations in the knowledge, skills and abilities of the productive sector of local reality, especially that of dairy production. This is how a school dedicated to medium-level agrotechnical education was projected and, at present, it is characterized not only by the potential of its various training environments (milk workshop, orchard, greenhouse, fruit trees, farm, pig hatchery and a dairy industry plant in full growth), but also because of that initial impulse to keep up with the changes that occur in the historical, social, economic and productive reality of the region and the country, without fear of resignifying permanently their orientation or pedagogical specificity, in order to fully attend the training of young people within the framework of their own vital world.
