This cross-curricular bibliographic research article aims to explore and elucidate the conceptual notions around emotional intelligence theories from the 1990s, their interconnection and their theoretical and practical meaning within the educational sphere. Through a review of current literature, this study sheds light on the critical role of understanding these theories in fostering improved pedagogical practices, facilitating emotional learning, and encouraging students' emotional well-being. Theoretical and analytical conclusions drawn from this research provide valuable insight into the dynamic interplay between emotional intelligence theories and their application in education.
